Driving Directions to UC Santa Cruz

From San Jose: Take Highway 17 south to Santa Cruz. As you enter the city of Santa Cruz, follow Highway 1 north (toward Half Moon Bay) along business Highway 1 (Mission Street). Travel approximately 0.8 mile southwest along Mission Street to Bay Street in Santa Cruz. Turn right on Bay and proceed up the hill to the main campus entrance.

From San Francisco: Take Highway 101 south to 880 (which becomes Highway 17) going south to Santa Cruz. Alternatively, you can travel on Interstate 280 from San Francisco and take Highway 85 south until it reaches Highway 17 south to Santa Cruz. As you enter the city of Santa Cruz, follow Highway 1 North (toward Half Moon Bay) along business Highway 1 (Mission Street). Travel approximately 0.8 mile southwest along Mission Street to Bay Street. Turn right on Bay and proceed up the hill to the main campus entrance.

From Oakland: Take Interstate 880 South to San Jose, where the freeway becomes Highway 17. Continue on Highway 17 south to Santa Cruz. As you enter the city of Santa Cruz, follow Highway 1 north (toward Half Moon Bay) along business Highway 1 (Mission Street). Travel approximately 0.8 mile southwest along Mission Street to Bay Street in Santa Cruz. Turn right on Bay Street and proceed up the hill to the main campus entrance.

**Important: a permit is required to park your vehicle on campus. Please stop at the parking kiosk, located at the main entrance of campus. Staff will sell you a daily permit, and can give you a map to the the closest parking to the meeting, so please ask for assistance if you are unsure where to park.**

Transportation While in Santa Cruz

On-Campus
Free on-campus shuttles operate M-F, 7:30am - 6:00pm, every 15 minutes. Weeknight service will run along perimeter routes every 30 minutes until 10:00pm. There is no weekend shuttle service.

Off-Campus
The Santa Cruz METRO services all of Santa Cruz County. The adult fare on most METRO buses is $2.00/ride or $6.00/day pass, exact change required. Below are routes that start at the Main METRO Station, continue to the UC Santa Cruz Campus and end where they began, at the Main METRO Station.
